Shamanic healing is a spiritual practice that taps into the power of spirits and other realms to restore balance and harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. The practitioner connects with helping spirits to assist healing individuals, communities, and the planet. Shamanic healing addresses physical, mental, and emotional facets of an individual.
During the ceremony, the practitioner may utilize drumming, rattling, singing/chanting, sound bowls, crystals, essential oils and sacred plants such as sage, paleo santo, sweetgrass, cedar, tobacco, and others. The session begins when the practitioner asks helping spirits for guidance on what type of healing the client may need at the time of the session. Some aspects of healing that may come forward to be worked on include but are not limited to:
Soul Retrieval:
Soul Retrieval is a shamanic technique where the practitioner journeys to retrieve a part of the soul that has left. Soul loss occurs when a traumatic event occurs in a person's life. The soul part leaves so the person can survive the pain. But sometimes the soul part does not return and the person is left feeling fragmented and not whole. The practitioner journeys to find the lost soul part and return it to the individual. Once found, the soul part is blown back into the person at the chest and the top of the head. (Ingerman).
Mediumship & Divination:
Mediumship may happen during a session if communication from spirits including deceased loved ones, spirit guides, ascended masters, ancestors, and angels comes through to aid the client in their healing and everyday life.
Flame divination, rock divination, tarot card reading, runic reading, tea leaf reading, or oracle card pull may be called upon for further guidance.
Extraction & Chakra Alignment:
Extraction is a shamanic technique where the practitioner must extract an illness or spirit from a person's body. This is accomplished by the practitioner who goes on a journey and consults his or her power animals and then using shamanic tools, and symbolically sucks out the unwanted spirit or illness from the person's body. A Chakra Alignment involves removing blocked and stuck energies from your energy field, rebalancing and strengthening your energy anatomy so that you feel stronger, lighter, more balanced and available for life.
Power Animal Retrieval:
Power animal retrieval is a method used by the practitioner to journey into the spiritual realms to locate and restore a lost connection with a power animal. After the retrieval, instructions are given to maintain and honor the relationship with the animal.
Cord Cutting & Auric Protection:
Cord cutting is a healing technique to help "untether" you from draining or unhealthy emotional dynamics, freeing you from relational patterns that drain your energy. It is important to note that cord cutting does not seek to remove healthy emotional bonds with loved ones; rather, it clears away emotional obstructions that are limiting you consciously and unconsciously. In essence it can be seen as a practice that detaches one from low vibrational energetic ties and lifts you up into a higher frequency by clearing away that which has been draining you.
Auric Protection is a technique used to repair any damage to your auric field as well as set protections within the field to create a safe barrier of protection for the client.
